Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN in July 2021, as the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a Space and Defense Correspondent, Kristin Fisher covers all aspects of space starting from NASA to the newly formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses as well as space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts and a space enthusiast was raised within the space industry. She served for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump Administrations. Also, she covered the 2020 presidential race as well as the efforts of two administrations in fighting the coronavirus. Her extensive travels with the Vice President and the President included an official trip to Afghanistan, which she took together with Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to becoming a part of the CBS network.
